Public opinion on trustworthiness Twitter in the Netherlands 2018

This statistic shows the results of a survey question asking for the public opinion on trustworthiness of Twitter posts in the Netherlands in 2018. The survey results show that a large share of respondents consider tweets to be an untrustworthy source of information. Roughly 60 percent of survey participants indicated that they considered Twitter to be an untrustworthy source, whereas just three percent trusted the information they read on Twitter.

As of 2018, approximately 2.8 million people in the Netherlands used Twitter, making it one of the lesser used social media platforms of the country. As of 2018, roughly 13 percent of the 18-21 year olds in the Netherlands indicated they actively make use of Twitter.
